These are the terms for using Loorq, the speech-coaching app for macOS. They're written to be read. Using the app or buying a license means you agree to them.
Loorq is made and operated by Loorq ("we"). You can always reach us at hello@loorq.com. Purchases are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, payment, invoicing, and sales tax, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction itself.
Every install starts with a 3-day full-featured trial. No account, no card, no strings. The trial exists so you can decide whether Loorq is worth paying for before you pay. Please use it that way.
You can cancel a subscription anytime from the link in your Paddle receipt email, or by writing to us. Cancelling stops future charges; it doesn't retroactively refund past ones. See the refund policy.
Don't attempt to circumvent the licensing, redistribute the app or keys, or use Loorq to record people without whatever consent your jurisdiction requires. Loorq only ever listens to your own microphone, and meeting coaching always asks first. The consent it asks for is yours; consent from other people in the room is your responsibility.
Loorq is provided "as is". We work hard to make it excellent, but we don't warrant that it is error-free or fit for any particular purpose, and speech analysis is deliberately conservative rather than perfect. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Loorq is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing you say ever leaves your Mac. The full details, including the short list of things that do leave (license activation, update checks), are in the privacy policy.
If we change these terms, the new version goes up at this address with a new date, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Loorq after a change means you accept it.
hello@loorq.com. A human reads it.
