Privacy Policy

Nothing you say ever leaves your Mac. Not the audio, not the transcripts, not the counts. Transcription and filler detection run entirely on your Apple Silicon. You can verify this with the network unplugged: Loorq keeps working.

What the app does with your speech

• Audio lives in a rolling in-memory buffer while you speak. It is never written to disk and never uploaded. When a take ends, the buffer is gone.
• Transcripts are stored on this Mac only, auto-delete after 7 days, and can be switched off entirely in Settings. You can delete everything at any time.
• Meetings: your own microphone only, never system audio or the other side, and Loorq asks before every meeting session.
• No telemetry, no analytics. We don't know how you use the app. We can't: there's nothing phoning home.

The complete list of things that do touch the network

Honesty means naming them:

• License activation. When you activate a license, the app sends your license key, a random per-install identifier, and your Mac's name (e.g. "Max's MacBook Air") to Keygen, our licensing provider, so your seats can be counted. No speech, no documents, nothing else. See Keygen's privacy policy.
• Update checks. The app periodically asks our release server (GitHub) whether a new version exists: a standard web request that, like all web requests, exposes your IP address to the server. No identifiers are attached.
• Purchases. Checkout runs through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle collects your email and payment details under Paddle's privacy policy; we never see your card number. We receive the order details needed to issue your license.
• Crash reports. Sent only if you choose to email one to us. Nothing is transmitted automatically.

This website

The site records only six anonymous count events: first act played, demo interacted, share tapped, copy used, primary call to action clicked, and comparison viewed. These events contain no cookies, account IDs, email addresses, or other personal information. Your light/dark preference is stored in your own browser. Hosting keeps standard server logs, as all hosting does. The checkout overlay is served by Paddle when you open it.

While we run ads, this website also loads a Google Ads measurement tag (gtag.js). It sets cookies and reports page visits and purchases to Google so we can tell which ads led to a sale. This is standard Google Ads conversion tracking, governed by Google's privacy policy, and it is the one exception to the paragraph above. It exists on the website only: the app itself has no analytics of any kind, and nothing you say ever reaches this site, Google, or us.

Your data, your rights

Everything Loorq knows about your speech lives on your Mac, under your account, deletable by you, so access, export, and erasure are literally in your hands. For the little we can see (license records, emails you send us), write to hello@loorq.com and we'll show it, correct it, or delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes up here with a new date. We will never change the core promise: your speech stays on your Mac.
